Meet Marie, award-winning photographer
Hello, my name is Marie Biringer. I am the photographer and creator of these original inspirational pictures. I am often inspired to add a Christian scriptural quotation or other inspirational or spiritual quotation to the picture thereby providing a more powerful experience. These original Christian pictures, inspirational pictures and spiritual pictures provide a powerful source of hope, encouragement, joy, love and peace.
After seeing my work, my friends have started donating some of their outstanding pictures and when inspired I add Christian, spiritual and inspirational quotations to them and they are now a part of my gallery of pictures.
How did I get into photography?
About 10 years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. In addition to the pain associated with both of these conditions, fatigue plays a large part. As a result, I was bedridden for months and most of my time was spent gazing out my window looking at the beautiful birds perched in the pine tree outside my window, listening to their songs, watching the squirrels run up and down the tree, and ‘watching the clouds go by’. Nature became a constant companion and brought me much peace and joy.
Eventually, I was able to get out onto my deck, and I would sit for hours engrossed and entertained with the myriad of nature around me and ‘watch the clouds go by’.
I became increasingly sensitive and aware of the fact that God was creating these magnificent scenes and snapshots of nature just for me, for in a minute or two the cloud formations would be different as the wind carried them along their journey, the birds would fly off, and the deer would run into the woods.
As my conditions improved I began to walk around a local park in Rockaway, New Jersey called Park Lake. I enjoyed the elegance of the swans and geese on the lake. I also did a lot of people watching, and I recognized that most of the people were looking down or straight ahead as they walked or jogged around the lake. I was sad because there was so much beauty around them and they were missing it.
Then I heard a small voice within me say “Marie, start to take some photographs of nature and capture all that I am creating for humanity to simply enjoy, inspire, motivate and to enrich their daily lives.” And so I started my photography career.
Now I share my Christian, spiritual and inspirational pictures with hundreds of people at spiritual days of enrichment, retreats, craft shows, and now around the world through the internet. I repeatedly hear compliments on my ability to capture an ‘ordinary scene’ and transform it into a ‘powerful extraordinary experience’. I humbly thank them and then pass the compliments along to the Spirit of God who points out a scene and then inspires me to add a particular saying to it. The combination of the picture and the saying is what empowers and gives new life and new meaning to the ordinary photograph.
I am so pleased to find that people start to share their stories about why their souls and spirits are moved by a particular picture.
One lady literally ran across the room with her eyes on one particular picture. The Spirit told me to put that particular photograph into my suitcase as I was leaving that morning. She chose this photo of the Rock Garden. The Spirit knew she needed that picture.
Later that day she told me her story of why she needed that picture. Years ago she had given birth to triplets, and they all died. There are three little yellow flowers that grew up through the rocks in the Rock Garden. Those three little yellow flowers represented her triplets. They still lived.
I had some of my inspirational pictures in a hospital gift shop. A woman walked in looking for a special gift for a loved one in the hospital. She chose the simple, yet powerful photo of the pink flower with the word ‘Courage!’ on it. I felt like I was part of the Wizard of Oz, I gave someone Courage! when they needed it most.
Photography has energy and power to move your soul like no other art form can. John C. Maxwell expressed it best in Life@Work: “God’s excellence is woven into the fabric of the world around us. You can see it in everything. Creation is a thing of excellence.”
Wayne Dyer in his book,'The Power of Intention' states: “Every photograph contains energy. Arrange photography of nature, animals and expressions of joy and love in your environment, and let their energy (and spirit) radiate into your heart.”
Spiritual and inspirational pictures have the power to lift your spirits when you are down, calm you down when you are upset, inspire you to begin something new, motivate you to make the necessary changes to move your life forward, bring peace, hope, love and joy into your life, remind you that God is always with you.
If the Spirit gives you a special message for a particular picture, just choose ‘custom’, tell me what your message is and I will create it for you.
Enjoy your journey through my galleries and if the Spirit within nudges you to purchase some of these Christian, spiritual and inspirational pictures, listen to the Spirit…maybe someone you know needs some encouragement.
Thank you,
